During Corona a great solution to eat well! The delivery came on time, warm and above all it was very tasty! Portions are absolutely sufficient, homemade and fresh. Any time.

We actually wanted to order something at the last lockdown, but today we finally implemented it. Many Thanks! It was very tasty, warm + salad & salad dressing were also great (which is unfortunately not always common in restaurants). Another positive thing to be emphasized is that we were even called because the delivery would take a while. So we could decide for ourselves whether we want to wait. Keep it up. ??

In the past few years we have been to Holzhacker Essen about 30 times as a couple; the food was always excellent and there are always unusual variations, which are usually a highlight; e.g. the lentil tart or the seasonal asparagus varieties. Picking up the pre-ordered food during Corona also works perfectly. You couldn't imagine a better service in a restaurant.

We have been looking for such a delivery service for a long time. The wood chopper is simply top quality! Orders are always placed twice a week? The whole team makes a very nice impression. We look forward to being able to visit the wood chopper next year. Hold on until then! A clear recommendation from us, if you love hearty German cuisine in Karlsruhe, you have no choice but to order here❤️

Really good food! Friendly atmosphere! The restaurant works without any convenience products at all, which is now very rare. They still cook here themselves. We were very satisfied. It's been a long time since eaten so delicious. And the prices are super fair!

Once again we were looking for good German cuisine in Karlsruhe. We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews and we have no regrets! The restaurant is great! See friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and great food! As already mentioned here, the portions are not that big. But that should absolutely not be a disadvantage, as the quality of the food on offer is really great! Better quality than quantity. We can recommend the restaurant and it will certainly not be our last time!

The food and the service were really great. I have seldom eaten such delicious spaetzle. The wild boar sauerbraten was also great. However, the portions are very manageable.

The food was very good, unfortunately the portions are really very small, so I don't think the price is justified, but the taste is really great. Another thing to complain about is that you have to wait a long time for your meal, unfortunately for the second time

The ambience is rather rustic and simple, which is not meant negatively at all: It's pleasant there and you feel right at home. The menu may seem "simple" at first, but the products used are of high quality, the preparation was spot on and it was just delicious! Service was right from front to back and was very pleasant. Although it's a bit out of the city center, I think it's worth every trip to get there. :)

It was my first time here. The reservation process works perfectly. Very friendly and attentive service, pleasant atmosphere, enough distance. The service and the food were very good. In any case, unreserved recommendation from me.

Quaint yet modern ambience and grandiose, middle-class cuisine, which simply fulfills exactly what you expect from this food. I like to be here and always enjoy every moment, not just the good food. Service was really good for the large number of guests. Steak was very good. The premises are noisy because of the large number of people. Sound measures would have to be improved. I would come again.

Great food! There were three of us in the wood chopper today. The food was very good. The roast veal was tender, the Red Devil rump steak was very spicy and the bullets really tasty. The service was very friendly and accommodating. And it went very quickly, even though the terrace was almost full. We can only recommend the wood chopper and would be happy to come back.

Not my first and certainly not my last visit! Wiener Schnitzel very good, flat, with a light breading and a few bubbles! Cannon balls terrific, cream sauce ordered (for the cannon balls ..) - 1st or 2nd place on the cream sauce hit list ever measured, PLV unbeatable!

Absolutely fantastic. Lovely patio area to eat in. Very pleasant staff. I came two nights in a row.....oh, the food is outstanding as well. I cannot recommend enough.
